Adm R Hari Kumar CNS visited HQWNC, Mumbai from 21 - 22 April 2023 where he interacted with VAdm Dinesh K Tripathi FOCINC WNC. CNS was briefed about Command’s focus and initiatives to ensure high operational readiness, accurate delivery of ordnance on target, efficient maintenance and efforts to improve quality of life of all personnel. CNS visited the latest indigenous destroyer INS Mormugao where he interacted with crew. He also interacted with personnel serving at various afloat and shore units over tea. During interaction, CNS emphasised the need to accord highest priority to operational units and platforms and need to be ready for all challenges including natural/ man-made. He stressed that naval personnel as ambassadors of nation’s maritime outlook, must spread maritime awareness while also striving to banish colonial mindset and archaic practices
