NS Netaji Subhas and Naval Officer-in-Charge (West Bengal) participated in Coastal Security Exercise Sagar Kavach (West Bengal) 01/23 conducted during 25 to 26 April 2023. INS Tihayu, Indian Navy Dornier Maritime Surveillance Aircraft, Indian Navy Fast Interceptor Crafts, and Patrol Boats were deployed from Kolkata to Sagar Island on the River Hooghly and in/over the Bay of Bengal off the WB Coast. As part of the Exercise, the Fast Interceptor Craft deployed off Sagar Island on 26 April 2023, responded to various maritime situations that were simulated as a part of the Coastal exercise, including boarding operations onboard vessels for investigation. The Coastal Security Exercise served to enhance synergy and coordination amongst all Stakeholders in West Bengal.
