World Environment Day was commemorated with a series of events at MO Mumbai. Swachhta Abhiyaan was undertaken at MO (Mbi) by personnel on 02 Jun 2023. A painting competition, themed Beatthe Plastic, was conducted for children on 03 Jun 2023. Commencing with Meri LiFE pledge on 04 Jun 2023, an environment awareness rally in civil area was undertaken followed by plantation of about 150 fruit bearing and medicinal plants at MO (Mbi) premises by Officers, Sailors, DSC and Def Civilian personnel and families. The commemorative activities continued on 05 Jun 2023, WorldEnvironmentDay2023, with a Cycle Rally from MO (Mbi) to Powai, which was followed by cleanship drive and removal of plastic from surrounding areas at Powai Lake.
