Mrs Kala Hari Kumar, President NWWA, presented a capsule on NWWA, at the maiden Station Commander's workshop held at INS Hamla, on 8th June 2023.

Reaching out to the attendees, which comprised of the station and area Commanders, and Chiefs of Staff of the three Commands, President NWWA said that NWWA shares a common goal of community welfare and development with the leadership of naval units, stations and Commands across the country.

Mrs Kala Hari Kumar drew attention to some of the new initiatives undertaken by NWWA for the benefit of the naval community in the last two years. These include Early Intervention Centres, Family Logbook, Samuha, MoU with Institutes of Higher Education, the very successful ThinQ last year and the very special G20 ThinQ planned for this year.

Emphasising on the power of communication she reiterated that when we anticipate and facilitate the needs of the community it will foster participation by the community in our initiatives and will strengthen the valuable human bonds that exist in our community - something that distinguishes us from the others.

Being proactive and going the extra mile helps in strengthening our unique social fabric. The perception of possibility should always be explored.

Concluding her address, President NWWA said that she firmly believes that when leaders collaborates community benefits. NWWA looks forward to a vibrant synergy between NWWA and the leadership in the various Naval stations and together we can create empowered and happy communities.
