Navy Children School Delhi conducted its Annual Sports Meet for the Academic Year 2022-2023 on 17 February 2023 with great zeal and enthusiasm. Cmde G Rambabu, Commodore (Naval Education) and Vice Chairman School Management Committee graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The event was also attended by Cmde Satish Shenai, Commanding Officer INS India, PTA members, invited guests and parents.
Principal Mrs Oshima Mathur welcomed the guests and complimented the staff and students for their efforts leading up to the event. All the houses namely Himgiri, Nilgiri, Udaigiri and Vikrant participated in the March Past. Students of classes VI to VIII also presented a colourful and well co-ordinated PT display on this occasion. The sporting activities included a variety of races for students of classes I to XII in both Boys and Girls categories. Udaigiri house bagged the ‘Best House in March Past’ as well as ‘Runner Up in Sports and Games’. Vikrant house was declared the overall winner in Sports and Games for AY 2022-2023. The Chief Guest gave away medals and trophies to the winners in various categories.
The Chief Guest congratulated the winners and complimented the efforts of students and staff towards successful conduct of the event. He lauded the performance of the school in various National, State, District and Zonal level competitions both in sports and co-curricular fields. He also exhorted the students to remain fit and develop sportsman spirit and camaraderie while encouraging each other towards success.
