The rescue effort towards break out of massive fire at Brahmapuram waste plant, Kochi continued till 07 March 2023. Continuous fire fighting operations are being undertaken by SNC in coordination with the civil authorities. As part of aerial firefighting, Large Area Aerial Liquid Dispersion Equipment (LAALDE) operations by Naval Seaking and ALH helicopters was undertaken on 06 and 07 March 2023. A multi-pronged approach using both ground and aerial fire fighting is in progress to arrest the spread of fire. More than 20000 litres of water has been sprayed in the affected area on both these days. An all out effort is in progress with the disaster management and state authorities to contain the situation at the earliest.
