Jungle survival training camp for officers of 33rd Dornier Operational Flying Training DOOFT Course and 11th Dornier Conversion Course (DOCC) was conducted at Thekkadi forest in Idduki District of Kerala from 23 to 25 Jun 2023. The aim of exercise was to provide trainees a realistic exposure on jungle survival techniques. Training Camp was flagged off by Commodore K Srivatsa, Commanding Officer, INS Garuda. Trainee officers and instructors from INAS550 attended the camp. Aircraft ex-Garuda was deployed to exercise SAR drills. The activities also included tent pitching, usage of survival equipment, adaptation to jungle conditions and drills on ground to air emergency codes for visual communication.
