39 Officers comprising 19 from Indian Navy, 15 from Sri Lankan Navy, two each from Myanmar and Bangladesh Navy and one from Nigerian Navy, successfully completed 105 weeks of Marine Engineering Specialisation Course MESC at INS Shivaji on 01 Jul 2023. VAdm Sandeep Naithani COM was Chief Guest for Course Completion Ceremony. As part of course curriculum, officers underwent watch keeping onboard Naval warships and undertook various Marine Engineering projects. The officers inculcated aptitude for technical assignments and research through wide array of naval projects ranging from Anti-corrosive coating technique for pipes and Thermo-Electric Generators for Waste Heat Recovery Systems. Lt Sunny Deol was awarded 'Best All Round Officer' trophy. 'Best Sportsman' trophy was awarded to Lt Rakshit Arayan Pai and Lt Sachin Yadav was awarded 'Positive Living Officer' trophy. 'First in Order of Academic Merit' was awarded to Lt Cdr Yusuf Mirdha of Bangladesh Navy. 'Best International Officer Trainee' was awarded to Lt(E) MASL Wijerathne of Sri Lankan Navy.
