RAdm Susheel Menon, FOST reviewed POP of 97th Regular and 28th SSC Air Operations Course and 11th Dornier Conversion Course DOCC at INS Garuda on 21 Jul 2023. Ten officers of Indian Navy and three officers of Indian Coast Guard graduated as Air Operations Officers, who have been trained in maritime air operations, including tactics in air warfare and anti-submarine warfare. They have flown extensive missions as part of route profile and operationally oriented maritime reconnaissance including SLOC monitoring and search and rescue. These officers would now serve onboard frontline air squadrons of Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard. Lt Shubham Jadhav was awarded Uttar Pradesh Trophy on being adjudged 'First in Overall Order of Merit', and SLt RV Kunte Memorial Book Prize on being adjudged 'Best in Ground Subjects. Asst Commandant Dhruv Tripathi was awarded FOCINC ENC Trophy on being adjudged 'Best in Flying'. Three officers of 11th DOCC were awarded wings on completion of stage II flying training. They underwent extensive ground and flying training including survival training as part of curriculum. Lt Anil Kumar Yadav was awarded FOCINC SNC Rolling Trophy for being adjudged ‘First in Overall Order of Merit’.
