Ms Kaamya Karthikeyan, daughter of Cdr S Karthikeyan of Indian Navy and Class XI student of NCS, Mumbai, unfurled the tricolour on top of Mt. Kang Yatse-1 (6,450 m) on 08 Sep 2023 and became the youngest person to summit this highly technical peak in Ladakh. Ms Kaamya has completed five milestones in her mission to summit the highest peaks in all seven continents. The mountaineering prodigy is training to summit Mt. Vinson Massif (Antarctica) and Mt. Everest to become the youngest girl to accomplish the 7summits challenge. The Indian Navy wishes her the very best in all future endeavours.
