Towards promoting maritime consciousness amongst the youth of nation and educating them about recruitment methodology of Indian Navy, a team of two officers and four sailors from NOIC(Kerala) visited Perambalur district of Tamil Nadu from 28 - 30 Nov 2023. The team interacted with Mrs K Karpagam, IAS, District Collector, Perambalur and Mr C Manivannan, Chief Education Officer of the state. Publicity drive was undertaken at six Higher Secondary schools located in various parts of district. The school students were made aware of various schemes, entries and selection procedures of joining Indian Navy. The outreach programme provided an opportunity of interaction with the young minds while creating awareness about Indian Navy as well. The outreach drive was well received by local administration.
